Hello and good luck.
Another Mercury retrograde pre-shadow period has stumbled upon us. For the next two weeks or so, the pulse of the retrograde will be gaining momentum, pushing us all onto a Mercurian wavelength. Are you suddenly afraid of being misunderstood, seeming impersonal, or worse, seeming boring? It’s all in a day’s work for Mercury in Libra — gearing up for a retrograde, no less. But don’t fear, this retrograde will be pulling something new, something undiscovered, out of all of us. There will be plenty to talk about.
The retrograde will begin in Libra on September 27, and end on October 18 when Mercury stations direct in Libra.
Mercury Retrograde in Libra
The pre-shadow period of this retrograde may prove to be taunting and precociously pesky, but it truly means no harm. Libra is the predecessor of one of Mercury’s home signs, Virgo, deeming them pleasant company by association. There will be jeers and fears of all things pertaining to Mercury’s domain — technology, communication, planning, and so on and so forth. However, Libra is a balanced, clever creature. While they are naturally more outgoing than Virgo, they still possess the ability to juggle and delegate. And, of course, they are a bit more charming and less outwardly threatening. There is an art form to be witnessed in their way of being. As the true retrograde nears, take note of it.
The greater sum of the retrograde — which will occupy the later half of September, to the middle of October — is Libra’s stomping grounds. During this period, we will all — even mildly so — become social butterflies, leaving behind the known to explore the rocky unknown. Some, like always, will return with their tails between their legs. However, Libra may prove to be a valuable influence for others, leading them to forge new pathways. As always, remember that you can rehash why the past is the past, without taking yourself back to the past. Libra has a better taste in splendor, anyway. Don’t outsource to cheap, old thrills.
Moreover, seek to expand yourself in the ways you’ve been putting off. While now may not be the time for overly-decisive life choices, it could be the time to experiment more freely. Don’t force a long-winded explanation when it isn’t needed — simply do. Libra is known for their ability to balance contradictory energies, to contain layers and multitudes. They do so without ever denying one or the other, but rather, holding them as equals. During this upcoming Mercury retrograde, practice this.
